About RankMyFirm / Author
Samuel Godfrey
Founder of RankMyFirm, Luminous Digital Visions and Laundry SEO. Samuel writes every guide and service page on this site, with the evidence and sources shown beside the claims.

The work behind the writing.
RankMyFirm plans and builds websites, SEO, AI visibility and business automation for UK law firms. The documented example is the Scarsdale Solicitors case study, a criminal defence and motoring practice, with 3.09K Web search clicks for May 2026 and 58.2K Google generative AI feature impressions for 1–28 July 2026 shown with their original reports.
Samuel also founded Luminous Digital Visions, a software and AI studio whose documented work includes the Freshly Folded laundry booking experience and LumaTake, a native macOS video application, and Laundry SEO, a search practice for laundry and dry-cleaning businesses. The law firm work on this site draws on the same approach: a clear brief, approved facts, and reporting that separates a completed piece of work from a measured result.
The guides focus on decisions a partner or practice manager actually faces: what a page needs to contain, how to read a proposal, what a fee should buy, how long the work takes and what to check before something goes live.
How the guides are written.
- Every guide carries Samuel’s name and the date it was last reviewed.
- Drafting is AI-assisted. Samuel sets the brief, checks the facts and approves the final text.
- Regulatory and platform references link to the primary source so a reader can check the original guidance.
- Examples that are illustrative are labelled as such. No client, quote, review or result is invented.
- Performance figures are quoted with their reporting period, definition and source, and never as a growth percentage without context.
- The guides are marketing and technology guidance, not legal advice. A firm’s legal explanations, professional claims and client information need approval from the people responsible for them.

Who checks the legal accuracy of the guides?
Nobody on the RankMyFirm side is giving legal advice. The guides describe marketing, website and search decisions, and they link to the regulator or platform that sets the rule. Where a guide is used inside a firm, the firm’s own solicitors approve the legal explanations, fee facts and professional claims before anything is published.
Can Samuel review our firm’s website?
Yes. The free 30-minute strategy call is a scoping conversation about your website, practice areas and the work you want to attract. A substantive review is scoped separately as an SEO audit with defined deliverables.
